My father and mother were arguing regarding on what gift they should give my grandmother and grandfather on their 50th wedding anniversary

. They have different choices on what they should give that is why it was so hard for them to decide. Because grandma and grandpa were already old, they agreed that they would give them old preserved furniture. But as they agreed to give my grandparents old furniture, argument started to arise. Daddy wants to give them antique table while Mommy wants to give an antique clock. Daddy said that it is better to give them a table because it could be very useful to them, and theres no possibility that table might stop functioning unlike clocks. But my mom objected on what dad had said, she said that since it was their 50th wedding anniversary, they should receive a romantic gift that would make them remember their moments and time together, and the best gift that suits is an old clock.

Listening to them, I figured out what is the reason of their argument. Dad is so practical, he uses mind over emotion, while mom is so affectionate that she consider what she feels toward something rather than using her mind. With their little hilarious argument, I was able to prove to myself that women are really emotional and most of the men are insensitive. I was at the middle of my thoughts when they both turned to me and said What do you think? I smiled and said that I think you should give them both table and clock. They were puzzled on my answer. Grandma would like the clock because they can be nostalgic about their love story whenever they look at it, and can tell themselves that time made them stay stronger. On the other hand, Grandpa would like the table because on that table, they can eat together and have a conversation together as long as they live. And I guess that would make their love for each other grow fonder in spite of their age. I added. After what I said, they were staring at each other as if that what I have said was right. I was smiling while looking at my parents. Because in fact, I only said that mark an end to their funny argument.
