Build Your Business With Your Expertise: 5 Reasons To Create Info Products

It really doesn't matter what industry you're in or what service you provide

. Any niche has the potential for a profitable info product-based business. Stop using a business model of trading your time for dollars or working one-to-one and start using the power of info products to leverage your business.

You can leverage your time, your effort and your expertise to grow your visibility, your credibility, gain new customers, and grow your profits.

When you work on the old model of trading time for money, you'll more than likely never be able to be financially free. Robert Kiyosaki, from Rich Dad, Poor Dad, says that passive income is when your income is more than your expenses.

When you work providing a service and are paid for your time it is difficult to earn more money unless you work longer hours, get more clients, or get your existing clients to spend more. Unfortunately we often can't or don't want to do that.

With information products, you can leverage your time, your effort or your energy and offer your expertise to many people. You create passive income because you can sell info products over and over again. In our busy lives, this is certainly a more desirable working model.

You might be new to the idea of information products or you might be challenged by the technology that's involved in creating them. Some people don't know how to put it all together and there are some of you fear that you lack the expertise to be credible.

I really can't stress this enough: recognize that what you know is valuable to others.

I was listening to an information marketer recently and he said 90% of people know less than you do. That means nine out of 10 people want to know more of what you know. That's incredible.

Many of you just take what you know for granted. You have to learn how to package your knowledge. A whole range of excuses could be stopping you, but move past those and you'll discover that you certainly can and must introduce info products into your business model.

What is an information product? An information product is any product or service that you can give or sell to people to provide them with information about a specific topic.

The main attraction is valuable content. An information product must provide a solution to a specific challenge or desire within your niche.

Remember that when people are searching for information, they either want to gain pleasure or avoid pain, and that is the solution that you can provide in your product.

Here are a few reasons why you should begin creating products now:

1. They're easy to create.

Info products are easy to create because you will find that you've already got the tools. Since you can use a phone or a computer to create your product all you need is your knowledge and expertise. You don't even need to have a phone or a computer because you can go and use a pay phone if you need a phone, or you can go to your local library or to an internet cafe if you need a computer.

2. They're inexpensive to create.

You can make them for free or next to nothing.

3. They're extremely profitable.

By extremely profitable, I mean they're a very high margin because they're low cost to create but they're of very high value to the marketplace.

For example, if you put some of your knowledge onto a CD, it would cost you about $1.50 to create that CD but you could sell it for $47 to $97, depending on the value of content that's in that product and the value that it has to your market.

4. They're inexpensive to distribute.

If they're a digital product, they're just sitting on your server and they can be downloaded at no cost, or even if it is a tangible product, postage is relatively inexpensive.

5. Information products increase your credibility and your branding.

Think about anyone that you view as a guru or you look up to and you think that they're an expert. Why is it that you think they're an expert? I guarantee they've got products. They've probably written a book or they've got home study programs or some sort of product that spreads their message around the globe and raises their credibility.

I hope these five great reasons will get you to take action and start creating your own info products with your expertise that will spread your message farther and grow your income.
