N96 - Powerful Memory Device
Nokia added one more superior set to its Nseries and announced N96 at Mobile World Congress in the year of 2008
. The operating system used by n96 is the modified version Symbian 9.3 which is more reliable and graceful comparatively. The audio quality is superb and offers the playback time of six hours America. An inbuilt 5.0 mega pixel camera with the resolution of 2592 x 1944 adds more elegance to the mobile set. It is weighted about 125 g having the size of 103 x 55 x 20 mm.
Memory support
N96 employs 16 GB internal memory and this memory can also be extended by using microSD cards up to 8 GB. It also supports the NAND memory of 256 MB and SDRAM memory of 128 MB. The huge memory capacity enables the users to store the video contents and other data.
Connectivity
N96 offers the local connectivity by using the Bluetooth 2.0 with Enhanced Data Rate (EDR). Micro USB enables the users to connect their set to the personal computer or laptop. It also supports WLAN. The main Bluetooth profiles supported by n96 are GAVDP, A2DP, DUN AVRCP, BIP, FTP, GAP, GOEP, HFP and HSP.
Internet facility
N96 uses the browser XHTML WAP 2.0 for surfing the internet with the protocols TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol). The users can also send as well as receive the data by using the file transfer protocols. E-mail facility is supported by using the protocols POP3 (for incoming mails), SMTP (for outgoing mails) and IMAP 4, MMS and instant massaging is also supported.

N96 supports various enhanced features of videos like video editing, playing, recording and sharing video which gives the user an opportunity to capture and store unforgettable and cherished moments of life. The major video formats used are flash video, MPEG 4, Real Video 7, 8, 9/10. The audio quality is also appreciable with the facilities of Audio Streaming and Audio Equalizer with the music player and stereo.
