Searching For A Job? Try Social Recruiting

When it comes to looking for a job in todays world

, you have to be able to know where to look for a job. Social recruiting is a new way to find a job. What is social recruiting and how does it work? This is a type of recruiting that utilizes social networks and the usage of such social networks such as Twitter, MySpace and others for either finding a job or letting potential employees know that you have job openings available. It is just that simple. In todays world, you have to understand where to look.

This is the way that the social recruiting works is that you are either a fan or a friend of a company on a social network. They will then send messages to you about job opportunities or will have them posted on their site on whatever social network that they are located on. This is a much faster way to both hire and find a job as compared to a newspaper or other online source. Social recruiting is becoming the advanced way to recruit. The growth of the media makes it very much in demand for this purpose.

Someone doing social recruiting will be able to find talent faster than several other methods and due to the popularity of these networks may be able to broadcast the openings on any or all of the networks that they choose to use. For example, if you wanted to work for Xerox, then you would either be a fan or friend of their site. Then when job openings come available then they would announce the openings to either the fans or friends. That is not to say that places such as Monster are obsolete. Many companies are taking this way as a faster way to reach talent.

So by social recruiting, you have the best of both worlds. You have employers looking for employees and yourself looking for work. It benefits both parties and sometimes works much faster for potential employees to use the social networks in order to be able to discover a job. While that may sound strange, take a look at the number of companies that use social networking and more are joining every day. So it makes sense to take advantage of a social network both as a company and potential employee.

So if you are looking for a job, then check out many of the companies that are involved with different social networks. This is a quicker way to go than most other ways of job searching in the day of Facebook and MySpace for example. Become a fan or friend.
