One of the most important part of a good relationship is spending time together. And don't think that being in the same room, car or place is necessarily spending time together. Most people have an extremely busy schedule, that's just how things are in 21'st century. We have work, children, home errands and hobbies. So finding a time for our mate can be difficult. So, just as you would schedule a meeting or an event on your calendar, schedule a "time-out" with your partner. Once it's on the calendar there is no backing out unless it's a life or death situation.

But having some alone time with your partner is not all. While spending that time together you need to turn off your brain.. sort of. You need to stop thinking and talking about work and problems can wait until another time. This "time-out" should be a pleasant moment for you and your partner where you enjoy the company of each other. Now this time can be with friends, you can go out dining, go to the theater or just cuddle on the living room couch watching a movie. Just remember to care for your partner and give him all the attention he needs and seeks and I can promise you, it will be well rewarded.
