1U LCD monitors are hardware devices that significantly save space for your server

racks and permit you to monitor your servers from a 1U slide out drawer. It supports resolutions from 1024 x 768 up to 1600 x 1200 depending on model type. It is available with a variety of options including: LCD screen sizes of 15", 17", 19" and 20"; video connections such as VGA, DVI-D, Composite, S-Video, BNC; and Touch Screen (Resistive, Capacitive and Infrared). It has power options of 12V, 24V, and 48V DC and is designed to be compatible with IBM, HP, Dell, SUN Microsystems, and Mac.

The 1U rackmount LCD can be pulled out and flipped up easily for viewing. It resolves the issue of high cost incurred by the rack space which typical CRT or LCD monitors waste in terms of space and money. One of the latest models is our 20" LCD in 1U with 1600x1200 resolution. These sliding rackmount units can remain open even when the rack door is closed for constant server monitoring. Additional LCDs available include the Wide Screen and Quad Screen versions that integrate neatly into only 1U of rack / cabinet storage space.

While one of the best features of the 1U LCD is the sliding flip up design for easy viewing, the 1U rackmount lcd KVM console has a durable and compact keyboard integrated into the same space. This combines a 15", 17" or 19" TFT LCD monitor, full 105-key keyboard and touchpad or trackball together. When this console drawer is not in use it can be easily folded shut and slid back into the server rack for safe storage. The hardware has also been designed in such a manner that a multi port KVM switch can also be built directly into the back of the console, thereby allowing you to control multiple servers from a single point while using only 1U of rack space.

These hardware devices are often used in military, commercial, education, surveillance and digital signage environments.
