The man responsible for this up and coming team is 12th year head coach Kirk Ferentz, who is on the rebound after a mediocre stretch from 2005-2007 in which Iowa played .500 football. Last year was the 4th time that Ferentz posted double digit wins for a season at Iowa. One of the big advantages in college football betting odds for Iowa for the 2010 season is their schedule as they will host top Big Ten contenders Wisconsin on October 23rd and Ohio State on November 20th. Even their tougher road games at Arizona, Michigan, Northwestern and Minnesota are winnable and the Hawkeyes could be chalks in all of them. Iowa may not be the obvious or "public" choice but they could be the best choice at 20-1 as it looks like a potential bargain.
