2011 Volkswagen Jetta Named One Of Kelly Blue Book's 10 Coolest Cars

The Volkswagen Jetta was officially nominated as one of the cool kids this summer

when it was announced as one of Kelley Blue Book's 10 Coolest Cars under $18,000. With teen drivers and first-time buyers in mind, KBB created the list based on affordability and the all-important "cool factor".

Deemed as fun to drive and fun to own, the 2011 VW Jetta is number eight on this year's list. Kelly Blue Book gives a nod to the VW Jetta's excellent engineering, new roomier backseat, and high performance control and handling. And the coolest part? German engineering at an affordable price.

In addition to the cool factor, the 2011 Volkswagen Jetta offers drivers a myriad of technologies and performance features that will continue to impress. The VW Jetta features 17" alloy wheels and a sporty exterior styling with an eye towards comfort on the interior.

The roomiest model of the Jetta yet, there is over three feet of rear legroom and 15.5 cubic feet of cargo space. Heated front seats and a multifunction steering wheel provide an extra measure of comfort and convenience for the driver.

Drivers will also be pleasantly surprised by the innovative technologies integrated into the car including hands-free Bluetooth technology and AUX inputs for iPod and media players, and a user friendly touchscreen navigation system. All included for around a cool $20,000.

The 2011 Volkswagen Jetta runs on a 2.5L engine capable of 177lb/ft of torque. It is also available in a clean diesel TDI version or 2.0L TSI engine. Averaging 34 mpg gas mileage or 42 mpg with the TDI engine, the VW Jetta is not only sporty, but eco-friendly as well.
