1. Time mismanagement

This is the biggest problems for those who are starting to work at home. If you a have been working for some one in the past you did not have this problem. You worked a schedule and that managed you.

You simply worked around a schedule that was set before you. You had to face consequences if you did not follow them. You also set a habit after a few weeks to work around the same schedule every day.

When you begin to work at home for yourself, you do not have any accountability to be on time. This is the biggest hurdle in succeeding. You tend to lay low and laze around and do things when you feel like. The feel like is the killer. Make a schedule and work with it.

2. Financial indiscipline

Finance is the next area you are likely to get into trouble. Most work at home is self employment. This means no regular income. You cannot predict how much you are going to make till you see the money in the bank. You need to budget. Money will not come immediately in most programs. It may take a month or three to make your first dollar. How are you going to take care of yourself and your family?

There is no more paycheck coming month after month. So be prepared for disappointment, discouragement and sometimes despair. If you are not a disciplined financial person, go to one who can help you get started and teach you what you need to do.

3. Procrastination

This is common to all who are in the self employed category. It is easy to say I will do this later, tomorrow or next week. That is the first step towards disaster, if you on your own. No one is going to ask you if you did this or that. You are responsible for getting everything done on time.

Procrastination is the main temptation to fight in the early days. Once you get a handle on how to defeat this enemy you are on your way to success. Time management and procrastination go hand in hand. The best way is to keep your schedule without any excuse just like you would act in working for a company.

Make a schedule and plan your work and religiously follow it. Do not ever think you can do it tomorrow. What needs to be done today as per your time table, do it now.
