3 Ways Of Making Your Car Look New Again

Remember that feeling of when you bought your first new car

? That new car smell in the interior, running your hands over the bonnet of the car and feeling how smooth and shiny it was or even just clocking up your first 100 miles on the milometer, those first moments owning a new car are unforgettable.

If you want to relive these sensations again, are passionate about car care or even if you are thinking of selling your car, here are a few tips on how to make it look almost new again without having to spend a fortune in the process:

1. Wash and wax - With all things in life, if you want something to look fresh and new again the first step is to clean it and in the case of a car to apply a reasonable amount of car polish. Washing your car shouldn't be too much of a hassle however choosing a reliable brand of car polish is a different matter. You can find several brands of car polish such as Greased Lightning or Mantis Instant Shine. Greased lightning can have your car looking shiny and new within 15 minutes of hard scrubbing, add that to the 30-45 minutes you'll spend on washing your car in the first place and within 1 hour you can have a car that looks almost showroom new. Just don't forget to clean your wheels and rims!

2. Get that new car smell once again - You can actually now buy scented car fresheners that emit that new car smell, although reviews are mixed from people who say it reminds them of 'cheap perfume' to 'does exactly what it is supposed to do', these fresheners won't break the bank and will allow all your passengers senses to be stimulated by your freshly updated car. If you want to go the extra mile you can even deodorise your air conditioning system by cleaning the vents and filters with a touch of cleaning fluid or spray so next time you have your air conditioning on, it won't be blowing out any bad odours that have been accumulating over the years.

3. Replace your tyres and check their alignment - After making sure the exterior of the car is pleasing to look at once again its then time to check if your tyres are still fit for use. If your tyres are of a minimum tread of 2/32 of an inch (Tyre tread is measured in increments of inches) then it is time to change them! Once you have a new set of tyres it's also prudent to check their alignment which can be done by going to your local garage where they can have a final check to see if there are any other issues such as changing the brake fluid that need to addressed.

The benefit of undertaking this work is not simply aesthetical but it can also add a lot of value to your car and for a few improvements that don't cost much, you can sell your car for a more considerable amount than if you hadn't undertaken any work.
