KALAMAZOO, MI - Leading Kalamazoo dentist, Dr. Rusel Hollister of Arcadia Dental, is proud to have been serving the dental community for 30 years since his graduation from the University of Detroit Dental School.

Dr. Rusel Hollister, dentist in Kalamazoo, is a native of California where he lived most of his first 24 years a half mile from Disneyland, where his youth was filled with beaches, mountains and deserts of Southern California. He attended the University of California Irvine for his Bachelor of Science with Honors in the Biological Sciences in 1972.

From there Dr. Hollister, dentist in Kalamazoo, MI, went on for his Master of Science in Medical Pharmacology & Toxicology in 1974. He left California in late 1974 when he was offered a research position at The Upjohn Company - which soon became Pfizer. After three years in research, Dr. Hollister decided to use his surgical skills to provide health care for people.

"I wanted to help people smile more by providing them with optimal dental health care. It is such a great pleasure seeing my patients' smiles. This is why I chose to go into dentistry and open my own practice - the patients," said Dr. Rusel Hollister, Kalamazoo, MI dentist. In 1977, Dr. Hollister when to the University of Detroit Dental school where he graduated in 1981 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree - he was now a dentist.

When Dr. Rusel Hollister of Kalamazoo first visited Michigan, he was greatly impressed with the friendly and kind residents of the area, so he returned to Kalamazoo to start his dental practice. With help from his wife Ann, a dental assistant, they opened their first office in the downtown Kalamazoo Mall and then moved into their present location on KL Ave. in 1995.
