4 Quick Ebay Selling Tips To Boost Your Sales
Want to make more money on your eBay auctions
? Just starting out and want to get more people to bid on your auctions?
Here are 4 ebay selling tips to boost your sales and make more money on your auctions.
#1 Include As Many Pictures As Possible
Online selling is harder than having a physical store. People can't touch or examine the item.
So the more pictures you add to your listing the better. It's a proven fact that auctions with pictures get more bids than auctions without pictures.
Make sure to include as many pictures - clear pictures - of your item as possible. Show the item from many different angles. If there's a box or extra items that come with the main item, show those too.
And don't be shy about showing any defects in the item. People want to know about these things up front.
You may not get as many bids - but then again - you won't be dealing with a disillusioned buyer either - who then leaves negative feedback for you.
#2 Examine The Competing Auctions First
Before you even start to sell your item, you should check out the competition if there is any. There's no use starting the bids at $200 for your item when someone else is selling the exact same item for $150.
Make sure to price your item competitively. Also be on the lookout for how you can add more value than the competition.
For example, can you give discounted shipping? Will you ship internationally? Does your item come with the receipt (if authenticity is an issue)?
Even try to make your item description more complete tha the competition and you'll notice a jump in bids.
#3 Don't Always Cater To Buyers Looking For The Lowest Price.
While many bidders do want to get the lowest price on something, the price isn't always what sells the item. People want to buy a genuine quality item and they're often willing to pay a fair amount of money for it.
For example, there have been times when I've paid more for designer items that came with an original store receipt. I'd rather have this little proof of authenticity and pay a bit more for it, than take a chance that the designer item isn't genuine.
I would also pay more to buy from a seller with lots of positive feedback. Buying from a trustworthy, experienced seller is worth more to me because I feel I can trust them.
#4 Focus on Getting Positive Buyer Feedback
One of the most crucial eBay selling tips is this: Your feedback rating and reputation is everything on eBay. Protect it with everything you've got.
While there will always be fussy buyers who will never be happy, for the most part people just want good customer service. So underpromise and overdeliver to your buyers. Treat them like gold as much as you can.
Act in a professional manner, package your items properly and thank them for their business. By doing all of these things, you will go a long way towards building your reputation.
And as your reputation grows and you build more positive feedback, you'll find buyers will gravitate more to your auctions.
So those are several ebay selling tips to get more bids and higher prices for your items. Try these and you'll find your bids and auction profits increasing over time.
