4 Reasons Why The Zodiac Signs Have No Scientific Significance

According to scientific principles, there 4 criteria why the zodiac signs and astrology

are not considered as a science: it does not follow the scientific method; it's theories are not falsifiable; it's experiments are not repeatable; and it has low confidence in it's theories.

There is a major argument ongoing whether astrology is accepted as a science or not.You may enjoy knowing about the different aspects of your past, present, and future or reading your horoscopes, but you may also want to know if these may have scientific explanations.Here are the reasons why some scientist can't consider astrology as a science.

It does follow the scientific method

Science is a process.It involved various gathering and testing of theories to prove it's validity or not. It uses the scientific method.It is simply defined a the process of which a phenomena is investigated.To be accepted as scientific, the mode of analyzation must be based on observable, pragmatic, and quantifiable variables.Elements of the scientific method includes a problem, development of hypothesis, experimentation, evaluation, and the outcome.

The features of the zodiac signs and astrology do not follow those steps.

It's theories are not falsifiable

Every scientific experiment must have a theory. With that, every scientific theory must be proved wrong somehow. If the scientists cannot prove a theory wrong, it is not accepted as valid in science.As for astrology, the theory "that the stars and planets control our fate and living" is not scientific.It has no valid ways of proving it false or true.

It's experiments are not repeatable

Astrological theories are often unique and contrasting.

A horoscope, here may not be the same one in another place.

It's not valid when only one a person or a small group could achieve that result from testing the theory in a given time.Should the outcomes of astrological studies be tested by another group, it must yield the same results.

It has low confidence in it's theories

Scientist have a level of confidence in it's theories.

Ranging from very confident to zero confidence at all. If one single theory has multiply effects on other

theories, the level of confidence is very high.If constant experimentation is done, and still the theory remains unexplained, it must be replaced with the one that has stronger argument.With astrology, you can easily rate it's confidence, as it's not always consistent and it has varied versions.

Reading your daily horoscope is fun.Whether it may be scientific or not, you still have the choice to follow the guidance of the stars or steer your own direction in life.
