African violets

African violets are one of the hardiest of all house plants. I once bought a dry as bones pot of plant material that had become shriveled from a nurserys dead and dying rack. But with a little bit of care, the plant not only survived and perked up; it also started blossoming and has now rewarded me with full blooms. And the bluish flowers are beautiful to boot. They go very nicely with my blue and white home dcor.

Ficus

Those who love larger house plants and have the space for it to grow can opt for Ficus trees. Indoor Ficus trees flourish very quickly and soon you will have to transfer the plant to a larger pot. Keep it away from blazing sun light to make it last for a long time, but make sure it receives ample light. Keep it close to large bay windows or French doors. Otherwise it hardly requires much care.

Jade

This is another of my favorite house plant. You can grow it extremely well from cuttings, the plant is easy to care for and with a little bit of tender love and care it keeps growing and growing. The leaves are bordered by a scarlet vein and have a waxy glossy texture.

Cut flowers

A new way of growing indoor plants is to make cuttings from in season flowering plants that generally grow outdoors and plant those cuttings in pots and keep them indoors. This way you can even grow roses and buttercups indoors in your living room.

Christmas Cactus, Philodendron and Aloe Vera

For those of you who dont wish to shower tender love and care on your indoor plants, who regularly forget to water their house plants, who dont want to mix compost and manure and organic fertilizers or dont want to be bothered by which brand of insecticide to use, will love to flaunt the abovementioned plants on their window sills.

The Christmas cactus also has lovely lissome pink blossoms that look very becoming in any kind of room dcor.

Some other indoor house plants that you may consider are amaryllis, tropical combo bonsai, ponytail palm, novelty stripes moth orchid, miniature herb standard topiaries, Chinese evergreen, Chamaedorea palm, cactus combo bonsai and angel ivy ring topiary.
