5 Reasons To Move House Part One
In today's fluctuating and unpredictable housing market
, it is hard to know when and how is the best way to move house. Whether you have a one bedroom flat in the centre of a big city, or an 8 bedroom, 2 swimming pool, 3 stable mansion in the heart of the leafy countryside, you will have the same decision to make on what to do with your property. Should I stay or should I go? Here are some reasons to make you think...
Neighbours
Do you get on with your neighbours, or do they ruin your quiet summer evenings in the garden with a good book by blasting trance music or slamming a football against the fence? Have you been sleeping peacefully only to be awoken by arguments and fighting in the stairwell and ended up making statements to the police on a regular basis? Alternatively do you neighbours complain when you use the vacuum at 3 in the afternoon and call the police when you have your mates round to watch the football? Neighbours come and go but if you just rub each other up the wrong way maybe it's time to move.
Location, Location, Location
Have you got the perfect flat, with all mod cons and a beautiful balcony overlooking tranquil gardens and a lake with peacocks and deer running free in the local park, but an agonizing 90 minute commute to work? Is your nearest bus stop a 2 mile hike through an industrial estate past the sewage works? Do you live next door to your in-laws?
Do you live with your in-laws? Even the most ideal house can be a chain around your neck if its location is unsuitable. There are many factors when finding the right location. Is work your priority or does access to a gym mean a lot to you? Locations near your family can be important as can places near to football grounds.
When looking at an area try to do some research and spend some time there before making any decisions, as just because it's a trendy seaside hideaway during the week, doesn't mean that it isn't a furious tourist party destination in the holiday season.
Also spend some time deciding exactly which sort of property would suite you best, you might want peace and quiet but does that have to mean a rural location some distance away from civilisation. One idea would be to actually rent a property and see how you feel after a few days.
