5 Steps To Create The Perfect Self-talk
Among the best methods to get a grip on your thoughts is to produce a positive self-talk
. The self-talk is really a short, self-created positive statement that you repeat to yourself consistently to block out the garbage that is going on in your brain whenever you do not consciously direct your mind.
In this specific article, I am going to share with you an easy, but effective method to produce a positive self-talk that will eradicate the negative thoughts, attitudes and habits you have, and help you achieve what you desire. The entire process can be simplified into 5 steps.
1: Think about a moment where you had the "perfect day", or a task, event or perhaps a time where you were at an emotional high. It may be a period of great accomplishment, reaching a hard goal or every other event that created a powerful emotional state in you.
2: Once you have identified this feeling in your mind, revisit it. Replay that moment in your brain repeatedly until you can feel that you are experiencing it again. Be there... Feel it... Relieve those wonderful feelings and hold them strongly in your thoughts.
3: Realize the particular emotional state you're going through and use a word to describe it such as elated, happy, excited, harmonious, and so on. After you have done this exercise, take the words and start forming your first positive statement that begins with "I AM ___________. " by using the emotions you have chosen as part of the phrase or statement.
4: Figure out what you want to achieve next. For example, you may want to change your annual income or correct a degrading statement about yourself. This will be the next statement you can add to your affirmations. Ensure that the statements are positive and written in present tense.
Here's a good example of a positive self-talk. "I am happy and excited, earning $1000 each week."
5: Lastly, include the method you intend to use to achieve your statement. What plans do you have in mind? What services are you going to provide? What actions or steps are you going to take to make your statement a reality? The detailed plan is not required since it will be brought to you as you repeat your self-talk consistently and persistently. For the time being, just state you will be doing.
