5 Ways To Fight Acne
Acne is a terrible problem that can be prevented in most cases
. In this article I'd like to show you a few ways that you can clear your skin and prevent future acne problems.
1. Cleanse Your Skin
Acne begins when bacteria that normally lives on our skin gets into a pore. Inside the pore it's warm, and if there is dirt, it's the perfect living conditions. The bacteria will feed and multiply. When our white blood cells kill the bacteria, we see the redness and infection, or 'pus.'
To prevent the bacteria from growing inside the pore, you need to cleanse your face daily. This will keep your pores from creating a perfect little home for the bacteria. Washing your face twice a day is plenty.
You don't want to over clean it and dry out the skin on your face. This could lead to more problems.
2. Don't Touch The Infected Area
If you have pimples on your face, try not to touch them. Squeezing or touching the pimples will transfer the infection onto your hands.
When you touch other parts of your face, the infection can spread. Instead of trying to squeeze the pimple to remove the infection, you can treat it with a small amount of Benzoyl Peroxide to clear the pore, and then use a cotton swab to rub on a bit of antibiotic ointment.
3. Check Your Product Labels
If you use sunscreen, make-up, moisturizer, or anything else that you apply to your face, check the labels.
Make sure the product is 'non-comedigenic,' which means that it will not clog your pores.
When you apply something to your face that clogs your pores, trouble starts. The clogged pore will provide a place for the bacteria to grow, and multiply. This will surely cause break-outs.
4. Wash Your Hands Frequently
Make sure you wash your hands often.
Take a minute to think about all the things your hands touch in a day's time.
You could have dirt, bacteria and oils on your hands when you touch your face. Transferring these things to the skin on your face could cause clogged pores and infections.
Make sure you wash your hands after eating oily foods as well. Touching your face with the grease on your fingers will likely trigger an outbreak.
5. Drink Plenty Of Water
Drinking water is good for the skin, and staying hydrated will help your complexion. Drinking a lot of fluids helps us flush the system and get rid of waste. Skin is the largest organ of your body, and benefits greatly from water. Getting enough fluid will also make sure your skin isn't dry.
If the skin on your face is dry, it will produce oils to maintain balance. If it produces too many oils, these can cause clogged pores and outbreaks.
