6 Healthy Diet Tips For More Energy And Vitality
Changing your diet to a healthier one does not mean that you have to make big changes
. Making little changes gradually over time can make a huge difference. If you are feeling run down, lacking in energy and are always getting infections then, maybe it is time to look at your diet and eating habits.
The following are 6 simple steps to turn your diet in to a healthier one for more energy and vitality.

Make sure you eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables everyday. You should aim to eat at least 5 pieces of fruit and vegetables a day.
Step 2
Introduce more raw and uncooked food into your diet every day. The perfect way to do this is to have a healthy salad. Each day vary the raw vegetables you use in your salad.
Step 3
If you are frequently coming down with infections such as colds then you probably have a weak immune system. To help strengthen you immune system you need to increase your intake of antioxidants. These include the essential vitamins A C and D. Foods that are high in these essential vitamins are fresh organic vegetables and in particular carrots, broccoli, watercress, peas and sweet potatoes.
Step 4
Reduce or even better cut out all foods that come out of a box or a tin. These are processed foods that have very little nutritional value and are full off additives, chemicals and bad fat.
Step 5
How you cook your food is just as important as what food you eat. Bad cooking methods are over cooking as this destroys the nutrients in the food that we need. Frying food is also very unhealthy because it increases the levels of fat. Also, frying in cooking oil changes its molecular structure and therefore, making it unhealthy to eat. If you cook avoid using cooking oil as much as possible. Steaming your food is far better as you do not have to use oil and fewer nutrients are destroyed by using this cooking method.
Step 6
Always buy fresh organic food if you can. With organic food and products no chemical pesticides, insecticides or fertilisers are used to grow them. If you are unable to buy organic food then you can reduce your exposure to these chemicals by washing the food thoroughly with water and a little vinegar. You can also peel the skin of the food as well.
