Making money online, in many ways, is the perfect way to build a business whilst

still having enough freedom to enjoy your life and what it has to offer. Imagine what it would be like to no longer spend your time waiting in traffic jams to get to work. It would afford you the luxury of being able to spend more time at home with family and treat yourself to luxuries that may possibly be out of reach as you read this article.

You may have seen pictures of internet millionaires standing outside fancy houses, with flash cars, and dismissed it all as something only achievable if you are a guru. That would be a mistake because making a full-time living on the internet is more than possible if you follow the right steps to building your online business. So, how would that business look? Would you be selling products or services? Would you be selling your own products or someone else's as an affiliate? How much time would it take to maintain it all and would it work even when you're on holiday?

1) One of the biggest mistakes people make when building an online business, is their lack of ability to focus on one thing at a time. They keep thinking there is maybe a quicker or better way, so they get caught in the trap of buying more products to learn from without actually taking any action towards building a successful online business themselves. For this reason, FOCUS is absolutely critical, it needs to be aimed at one project without getting distracted. If you have more things on your mind, write them down and come back to them later. There is great power in focus when you put it to work for your business.

2) You know that in order to be highly successful, you need to become specialized at that particular thing and know more than the average person about your chosen niche market. This is where you will learn as you earn. Set aside some time for learning and invest in your education, but only put money into materials that will help you achieve your goal of growing your online business. Be clear about what you want to achieve and work towards that goal.

3) Learning is a fabulous thing and I highly recommend you always set aside some time for learning. Unfortunately some people spend too much time learning and not enough time taking action. Remember, nothing happens unless you take action. Don't analyze things for so long that you reach the end of the day without actually having done anything. Know from the outset what you are actually going to do that day in order to achieve your vision. Know with absolute certainty all of this is possible as long as you believe in it and take the necessary action to make it happen.

4) Stick to the fundamentals but inject your personality into your business and over time, add your own twist. Nobody wants to read the same thing, time and time again. Be original, innovate but also don't try to re-invent the wheel on the fundamentals when you are first starting out building your online business. With more knowledge and experience you can afford to try out your own things and experiment a little, but get that foundation in place first.

5) Always do the best job you possibly can. Don't settle for being nearly as good as someone else, aim at being better than anybody else at what you are teaching. Focus on adding value to your business so people see you as the one to learn from in the area you are positioning yourself as an authority in.

6) You are what you think. If you believe you cannot make money online, then you never will. Your brain has a way of making things happen when you believe in them. If you believe you can make $1,000 a week or more online, then your brain will find a way of making it happen providing you remain focused and consistently take action. Do whatever it takes to become successful providing it is of benefit to others as well. Helping people will be a big part of your success, so always keep in mind that the big picture is about serving and helping others.
