7 Reasons A Move To Canada Is A Must
.
1. It's officially one of the best countries in the world to live in - each year the United Nations creates a report that lists the best countries in the world to live in based on various factors. Whilst Canada ranked in first place for several years from 1994, it has fallen from the top spot in recent times, but still finds itself in the top five.
2. There's also more than one Canadian city in the world's top ten cities - in addition to the list produced by the United Nations, The Economist produces a similar list, but based this time on cities and in the 2010 list, there are four Canadian cities in the top ten - including Vancouver in pole position (the two other cities are Toronto and Calgary in fourth and fifth places respectively).
3. There's free public health care - one of the major benefits of living in the UK is that all residents have access to the National Health Service (NHS), which provides free health care to all, irrelevant of any financial circumstances.
Whilst some major immigration destinations don't provide this type of health care, Canada does and so you can move without worrying you're going to need to pay out a regular and often expensive premium for health insurance.
4. The Canadians are sports crazy... - although football doesn't dominate the TV screens in the country, there are several sports that do, including ice hockey, basket ball, baseball and both American and Canadian football.
Football - or soccer, as it is known across the Atlantic - can be found, but if you're making the move on a permanent Canada visa, why not embrace a whole new sport?
5. ...but they also enjoy their wildlife - if you're worried about the amount of sport that the country seems to devour, don't be. Just because the majority of Canadians seem to be into at least one sport doesn't mean they spend their whole lives following it and a large majority enjoy being able to soak up the natural beauty of the country.
And with over forty National Parks and National Park Reserves, you really are spoilt for choice.
6. The country is financially secure - with a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of 38,025 US dollars per capita PPP and 39,668 US dollars per capita nominal, along with the fact the country is one of the members of a whole host of world organisations, including the G8, G20 and NATO, Canada is not only particularly powerful, but also financially secure.
7. It's easy to move to - OK, so whilst the actual physical moving may cause a few headaches (especially if you want to take more than a few personal items), the process of applying for a Canada visa is easy, thanks largely to the fact there are so many visas available and a whole host of companies available to help with the process.
