7 Steps To A Profitable Article Marketing Campaign (part 1)

, article marketing is one of the few that stood the test of time. It is simple, effective and does not cost a dime. Here is a quick 7-step process to use the article marketing method to make some money online.

Step 1 - Identify a niche first

Always start with a specific niche in mind first. You want to find the hungry crowd before you start creating products or search for affiliate products. Some examples of niche market include weight loss, debt elimination, dating, fitness, marketing, etc. For competitive niche like weight loss, it is a good idea to drill deeper, such as weight loss for teenagers.

Then head over to one of the popular affiliate networks such as Clickbank to pick three to four products related to your selected niche.

Step 2 - Set up your website

Whether you are promoting your own product or someone else product, having your own website is a must. Even as an affiliate, a good informative website that you own will help you stand out from the rest of pack.

It is recommended to buy a domain name and subscribe to a web hosting service that use Cpanel interface. The domain will likely cost you less than ten dollars a year while the web hosting service will set you back around seven dollars a month.

The fastest way to set up a simple website is to use Wordpress. You can setup a Wordpress website with just a few clicks inside the Cpanel interface. If you do not know how to do this, just visit Youtube and search for "Wordpress Installation". There are many video tutorials available that show you how to do this quickly.

Step 3 - Pick your keywords

Perform keyword research using the Google External Keyword Tools. Pick five to ten keywords that has a monthly search volume of at least one thousand and less than ten thousand competing pages indexed in Google.

To find the competing pages, just place quotes around your search phrase in the Google Search bar and hitting the search button. Look at the right hand corner of the result page. Here is an example:

"Results 1 - 10 of about 59,888,000"

The competing pages in this case are 59,888,000.

Step 4 - Write a review

Pick one of the products that you have selected in Step 2 as the main product. You will write a short review about this product and compare it with the other products you have selected. Explain why this is your top pick.

Try to implement the keywords that you have researched into the review title and content. Make sure to hyperlink the product names in your review with your affiliate link.
