1. Be aware when you look at bulk buy bargains as you can get carried away and end up with unsaleable goods on your hands. Eventually everything will sell but you will need to analyse how long you can wait for a return on your initial outlay.

2. Unfortunately, one of the problems with bulk purchasing is that the hunt for low priced goods can cause even the most sensible person to set aside the common sense principles of good business sense.

6. Provided the price is low enough all the additional costs the merchandise requires could well be cost effective. However, bear in mind this may not be the case. By the time all the extras have been added into the equation the bulk buy may not be such a bargain.

7. However, there is an alternative. Let someone else do all the hard work and buy direct from a company who specializes in bulk buying and is prepared to split up pallets or containers . Initially this may not seem such a good buy but without all the peripheral costs involved you would most possibly break even or possibly by better off.

8. Prior to buying in bulk look very carefully at the costs involved, any extra work which may be required such as assembly, the suitability to your market and most important of all will they sell.
