Himachal Pradesh is one of the Indian states and is located in the northern region

of the country.Shimla is the capital city of the state and is located in the southern part of the state.Shimla was formerly known as Simla and the city is a neighboring city of Mandi, Kullu, Kinnaur and Uttaranchal. Before independence, Shimla was known as the summer capital of the country and it was declared by the British administration.

This beautiful city is nestled in the beautiful natural and pollution free location. And this has made this city a most visited tourism spot of the state. Although the city is existing since time immemorial but in the independent it came into existence in the late twentieth century. Initially it was the capital city of Punjab state but later it became the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Ever since its inception the city of Shimla has progressed and has developed itself in almost all the fields of work and development, and has come up with flying colors in many areas of work like tourism,education,and industry.

In the past few decades education field has become one of the strong points of the city of Shimla and it has come up with some of the modern day and well equipped schools, colleges, universities and other educational institutions.
