The first type of water treatment equipment is water softeners. The main function of this water treatment equipment is to eliminate the water alkaline and water scale according to the principle of ion exchange. In order to get the water softened, it exchange Mg2+ and Ca2+ with Na+ until the water hardness decreases to 70 mg / liter. It has a good descaling effect and at the same time can provide a high water flow with the water pressure scarcely decreased. After softening treatment the cleaning ability of water will become exceptionally strong, which will be good for laundry, shower and skin care. It can reduce energy consumption and at the same time save detergent and decrease the intensity of housework. The water generated by this kind of water treatment equipment is mostly suitable for domestic usage. However water softener machine cannot get rid of bacteria, viruses, organic matter thus cannot be directly consumed. Also the regeneration requires consumption of salt and will produce a certain amount of wastewater.

The second type of water treatment equipment is water purifier. Ultra filtration machine is the mainstream product in the water purifier treatment equipment. It has a high precision water filter thus its purification effect is very good. The water filter has a life and can be cleaned automatically. The water purifier machine applies the 0.01 micron membrane separation technology and can effectively eliminate the sediment, rust, suspended solids, colloids, bacteria, viruses, large organic molecules and other harmful substances in water. The high precision of its water filter can makes sure that the purified water is close to the mineral water and can be taken to drink directly. It is environment-friendly in that it needn't to be powered by electricity. But water purifier treatment equipment has a relatively poor ability of eliminating the scale and water base thus is suitable for areas with medium or low hardness water. It cannot completely remove the heavy metals in water. Single ultra filtration unit can not completely get rid of the water odor and the water produced taste poor. And also it takes too much trouble to change the water filter.
