A Guide To How You Can Make Money From Your Blog

There are still many people out there who have never created a blog in their lives

. However it should not be discounted because it is actually a very good way of making some extra money. It's not that difficult to do either.

The key is to pick a good niche to begin with. Ideally you should pick quite a broad niche so you know that you will never run out of things to talk about. It should also be a subject that you are quite passionate about because you can be sure that your blog will have a short shelf life if writing content starts to become a chore.

From a financial point of view you should also choose a niche that has a lot of buyers. These niches, such as health, finance, real estate, etc, will have many affiliate offers you can promote, as well as plenty of advertisers that may be willing to advertise on your site.

Once you have chosen a niche, you then need to start thinking about registering a domain name and finding a web host that will host your site. You can host your blog for free on some of the more popular blogging platforms but I personally would recommend that you get your own domain name and web host, and use Wordpress, for example, as this will give you a little more freedom and control over your site.

After you have got your blog set up you can then choose a theme and start creating your first posts. You have to remember that good content alone will not get you lots of traffic. You also need to actively promote your site.

Two of the best ways of doing this are by going on popular forums within your niche and writing useful comments (that will include a sig file at the end linking to your website), and submitting articles to the various article directories (again with a link to your site at the end of each article). Both of these two traffic-generating strategies could easily attract visitors to your site right from day 1.

So with affiliate offers or some kind of advertising links on your blog there is no reason at all why anyone can't create a blog right now and start making money almost immediately. All it takes is a little bit of dedication and motivation, and obviously the more posts you make (and the more backlinks you create for search engine purposes), the more traffic you will receive in the long run.
