A New Future

I am currently pursuing a career as a Medical Transcriptionist for the opportunity

to become a stay at home mom to my baby girl, who was born in January. Although it was never my intention to be a stay at home mom, I now find it very appealing. I feel that the Medical Transcription position would fit perfectly into my life schedule as it would allow me to pursue my current goal. I hold a position as a Registered Dental Assistant. Even though I love what I do, and worked hard for my Certificate in Dental Assisting, nothing would be more gratifying to me then staying at home and raising my child along with working and earning a paycheck. I am now working part-time at the office where I was a full-time Dental Assistant. My goal is to complete your course and find a position as a MT, so I can get back home quickly to raise my daughter.

When I was searching for online medical transcription courses that I could complete at home, I reviewed Future MT's website and was very impressed. Immediately I looked at how long the course would take to complete, the course outline, and how much it would cost. I was pleased to see that the course was self paced, with the average time of completion being three months. I feel that with my experience in the dental field I have a head start in my training toward becoming a MT. The course outline appears to be very straightforward, and should give me the proper knowledge to adequately perform the job. I reviewed other programs and was hesitant to continue my search for training in the MT field. I did not want to get involved in a course that was longer than a few months. I feel that training through Future MT fits me and my expectations perfectly, so I immediately pursued the medical transcription program. The cost for the Future MTs program is the appropriate price for my budget. I will definitely take advantage of your student loan repayment program, unless my essay is chosen for the full tuition scholarship. Although my main focus for the next few years will be to raise my daughter, I know that in the future my career will again be something I focus most of my energy on. I may look at becoming more dedicated to the medical transcription field, such as, becoming a Certified Medical Transcriptionist. As a Dental Assistant I know how important it is to have and be a member of an association. Associations help give employers verification in the importance of a particular position. I would not be interested in joining any Medical Transcription associations immediately after obtaining my certificate, but would not be opposed to looking into it in the future.
