From a home-based business that prompted a person to make up business cards, and hold house parties for all their friends and family to sell their products, Herbalife has undergone some serious changes with their new Herbalife.com website.
Herbalife.com's new face includes sharp graphic design and interactive ease, although one wonders whether or not new product developments would have had a more significant impact.
If Herbalife hopes to survive, must take action to update their product lines in order to reclaim some of the North American market that they have lost in recent years. While there has been steady growth in some of the lesser markets such as South America and the Middle Eastern and African countries, they have lost their share of some of the bigger markets by their outdated merchandise. With this renewed exposure of the internet site, they have the chance to regain some of that.
Even though Herbalife is a 20 year old company, a lot of the US consumers are not interested in their products due to a lack of updating, and outdated opportunities with the business. It seems a shame that this billion dollar company cannot reinvent itself, but with the new internet site, this could be their chance!
Herbalife is a 20 year old billion dollar company. Consequently, a large number of people have been exposed to the opportunity, there are lots of people, especially in the U.S., that are no longer interested in the Herbalife opportunity.
As a consequence, Herbalife distributors aren't earning hefty profits worth the time it takes to move the product. The structure is out dated. Consequently, they're experiencing a decline in distributors.
Herbalife has not changed their compensation plan any, but in an effort to counteract this, they have added some "bonuses" to their plans. While these do have the potential to pay off in a big way, they will do little to help the new distributor, because they are geared to people who are already making hefty sales. In order to be a "Qualified Producer" you must have 2,500 Personally Purchased Volume Points in 1 to 3 months. So you have to be willing to put in the time, and stay on top of everything to get that many sales.
To try to counter this Herbalife has not re-made their compensation plan but added little bonuses that could pay out big, but again... to those distributors that are already making big on a Grand Scale. They give some hefty advantages to a new distributor level created known as the Qualified Producer. Yet to become a Qualified Producer you need 2,500 Personally Purchased Volume Points in 1 to 3 consecutive months. You need to have game.
These are solid incentives. Nonetheless, an out of date product line can hamper any salesman, no matter what the benefits.
A fancy website will only carry you so far. Money needs to be put into the revival of the product line to put them back into a competitive race with the industry. When they are willing to devote $100,000 in doing that, then Herbalife.com will get my attention!
