A New Way Of Looking At House Cleaning
In the fifties, it was probably not a reality what was seen on television when women dressed up for the day and kept their aprons perfectly clean
. Most likely that was just for the benefit of television. Most women, unless they were wealthy, probably cleaned their homes on their own. It is not easy to spend three hours doing only house cleaning. We now live in a multi-tasking society where it is almost impossible to keep at the same task for that long.
There are blogs and books written to women on how to clean their homes. You could really try them all, but unless they work for you, they will not work. Looking at house cleaning with prioritizing as the key may be helpful.
When you prioritize, there are the small, medium, and large jobs. You should do at least one of each every day. Small jobs include things like dishes, sweeping the floor, laundry and dusting. Medium jobs would be vacuuming and mopping. Large jobs would be to clean the bathroom and to organize rooms and areas of your home.
On Monday, you will probably have to do the most cleaning since you spent more time at home, and probably made it dirtier over the weekend. You should make sure and do the dishes in the morning if you did not get them done from Sunday as well as start a load of laundry. Sweeping and mopping the kitchen should also be done, and the bathroom should get cleaned which also should include sweeping and mopping. Make sure to do the dishes, and finish the laundry for the day before bed.
On Tuesday, you could start the day by doing more laundry, sweeping the kitchen and bathroom and vacuuming all rooms. Choose one room to organize. After dinner, be sure and do the dishes, and finish up the laundry.
On Wednesday, you are probably beginning to get tired. Just make sure to dust the living areas, sweep the kitchen and bath, do the dishes, and organize another area or room.
On Thursday, you will need to do a little more since it is getting towards the weekend when you may have to get ready for company. Make sure to start the day again with laundry and sweeping. Do the bathroom and mop it. Vacuum all rooms, do the dishes, and finish the laundry.
On Friday, dusting the living areas and sweeping and mopping the kitchen are a good start. Organize another room, and do the dishes.
By Saturday, you will not have much left to accomplish. You should put in some laundry, sweep the kitchen and bathroom, touch up the bathroom, vacuum the main living areas, do the dishes, and finish up the laundry.
Rest on Sunday. Using the Small, Medium, and Large principle for weekly house cleaning should help you to get your home in order, and keep it that way throughout the week.
