So how did Satvoices.com start. Heres a quick story.Go on it'll only take a few minutes.

Sat nav voices are in a way the new Ringtone.So many people have sat-navs of all different makes-Garmin, tomtom etc.And they all have one thing in common they all have a standard voice which is fine when you first start using a satnav gps device because your just getting used to it and everything is good.But after a while you will want to have your own personality reflected in your sat nav, just like you have in your Mobile ringtone perhaps.I remember when i first started making tomtom voices only i would have them playing as the voice for my sat nav when i was a taxi driver, one voice in particular was a Johnny Bravo voice(which was my voice not the real Johnny Bravo of course)Passengers would be quite interested although at the time they were'nt sure wether it was Elvis or Johnny, well, untill he said "Oh man, we've made it! Now check the pec's" or something like that.

So these things can be great fun, i even tried making some REALLY unusual ones like Thornton Reed from Garth Marenghi (google it) I tried that out to see customers reactions, one guy who had just came out of hospital after an operation recognised it straight away, i could'nt believe it as it's such a cult voice.Poor guy though he already felt bewildered after the operation or whatever he was having done.

Well this started to be the way i would test my voices, some would'nt get a good reaction so i either improved them or scrapped them.Either way it was good market research.

Anyway i put the voice online and started selling some very quickly as they were very good.Soon i was contacted by a company asking if i could make some for them, i agreed and made them loads but after a few years with this company i decided to go it alone and sell my Garmin and TomTom voices on my own site-so i started work and after much time Satvoices.com was born, i call it a satnav voice superstore!

I feel it's a great place to get exiting new voices for Garmin and tomtom.I take pride in al my voices and i want all my customers to enjoy them alot and have enjoyment seeing thier friends and families reactions to the voices some of which are very unusual like Triassic Park the tomtom voice, currently only available to tomtom devices-sorry.
