A new way to pass the CII regulated financial adviser exams?
Like many other great ideas www.adviserexams.co.uk was born out of frustration.
Like 60% of other IFAs I failed my first attempt at the CII financial adviser JO1 exam, even after studying hard and attending a revision course. In the end I set up my own "proper full training course" by finding an experienced trainer to teach 12 of us over a full 5 days. At the time I thought why can't this whole financial adviser exam thing just me made a lot easier for advisers, by having classroom style training for the whole exam and not just revision courses?
My daughter has just gone to University. If they just give her a manual and tell her to come back in 3 months, have a 1 day revision course and then sit the relevant exams I would not be best pleased. So why do financial advisers have to put up with this method of teaching for the CII financial adviser exams?
Some months ago I was putting together some PowerPoint videos for my clients to help explain the basics of various products it occurred to me this method would work with easily teaching people to pass the CII regulated financial adviser exams too. This thought was the beginning of the plan which resulted in producing the website www.adviserexams.co.uk
The trainers who produce the videos and question banks have over 20 years experience teaching these exams and so are able, using voice over the PowerPoint slides and animations to just explain the information required to pass the CII RO exams. They can just strip away the "surplus to requirements" information in the manuals, so you are able to concentrate on learning the relevant information only.
