I know it is tough to just keep head above water taking care of business from day to day (I have had my own business for years) much less having to worry how you will get your business in front of as many eyes as possible.

Maybe you are in the same rut as many other business owners who still think that paying a certain amount every month for some outdated marketing method is going to get you the necessary traffic.

Or maybe you are one of the more savvy business owners who realize that you really need to get your business online since millions of businesses have already proven that that is the way to go, but you keep putting it off because you do not understand how it all works.

It is also true that:

The Internet is a scary place. Many business owners still do not even use computers in their businesses much less know about manipulating the Internet to get their share of millions of searchers. It is only human to be apprehensive about things you do not understand like spending a lot of money on PPC (pay per click) advertising or sending out emails the wrong way and be accused of SPAM.

It is hard marketing online and many people are just not comfortable with technology. Internet marketing also requires expertise in several different fields and may take up a lot of time and money that you can spend better elsewhere.

Most business owners do not care about online trends, the latest marketing fad or gadget or if a site has been on the first page of Google for the past 3 years. They want results that will bring in the money as soon as possible with as little learning as possible on their end.

The fact of the matter is that when you want to take your business online (which is a must if you want to keep your business going!) you will still have to:

a)Hire a web designer to create your website and know exactly what

you want on it

b)Hire someone to write optimized content

c)Learn search engine optimization which can take several months

d)Get the necessary graphics and images

e)Optimize each page on your site

f)Then, and only then, you can start marketing your website online. This is made up of as many as eight to ten different components that you will have to learn first and it can be a daunting task for a perfectly intelligent business owner.
