Accepting All Emotion Are Equal!

ALL EMOTIONS ARE EQUAL!

ALL EMOTIONS ARE EQUAL!

Emotions are emotions.

There is no such thing as BAD or GOOD emotions.

Often we are conditioned that sadness, anger, agitation is not good. We were also conditioned that crying is the action for the weak.

And all these conditioning has created a habit of suppressing our emotions. My question is how long can one suppressed and truly lead a happy life?

Often this habit is very draining and causes much lethargy. Hence the complains of 'i am tired', 'i had enough'.

A mentor of mind once said, you are putting too much energy into pushing the oil drum down into the water. You could do a lot more with that marvelous energy of yours should you not focus your energy on suppressing. The drum will float up somehow.

Since it is going to float somehow, why not learn to be at ease with it? Why not learn to make peace with it?

Accepting that emotions such as anger, resentment, irritation, sadness are emotions by itself without judging it is the first step.

3 simple step that i practice;

1. Accept that all emotions are the equal.

All those what the norm has label as "negative"

emotions are the same as "positive/happy" emotions.

There is no way to tabulate which emotion is better

or greater.

2. Acknowledge the emotions that you are experiencing at

the moment.

Tell yourself, i acknowledge that i am feeling angry.

I acknowledge that i am feeling sad.

3. Letting it go and move on.

Tell yourself, out loud would be better.

I now release my feeling of anger. I now release my

feeling of sadness. So be it.

I now allow myself to experience joy and to move on.

So it is.

At some stages, you may experience disbelief and doubt. It is ok as that is usually where the logic mind is attempting to make sense out of it. Acknowledge it and move on. The steps above are meant to speak to our subconscious mind.

HAPPY DAY practicing!
