Accutane is a heavy-duty drug. It should only be used as a last resort, after you've exhausted all other possible options. Accutane may also cause you to experience chest pain, decreased night vision, constant fatigue, thinning hair, vomiting, bowel inflammation... And the list goes on. There have also been claims that Accutane causes serious depression, but no such claim has been medically proven. I myself didn't suffer from depression when I was taking the drug; I was just disappointed that it didn't work out. Despite all of the risks, Accutane does have the potential to work miracles on some people. Unfortunately, I wasn't one of them. In the end, however, I was able to find an acne medication that cleared up my skin perfectly, without the awful side effects I experienced when I was on Accutane.
