Add Organic Lice Treatment To Your Back To School List
Your child is back at school and a letter is sent home letting you know that a student in your son or daughter's class has head lice
. Sound familiar? Don't panic! Each year parents spend hundreds of dollars buying their children school supplies, new clothes and new shoes. Something to add to your shopping list this year is a complete organic lice treatment system.
A good organic lice treatment system will include preventative products such as shampoo, conditioner, and fabric sprays. By using these products prior to the start of the school year, you help protect your children from head lice.
What to Look For in Organic Lice Treatment
There are many products on the market that claim to get rid of lice easily and effectively. Some over-the-counter products contain harsh chemicals which burn or irritate the eyes and skin of your child when using it. How do you compare products when they all claim they do the same thing? Your best bet is to look for organic lice treatments. These contain natural ingredients such as peppermint, tea tree oil and cinnamon leaf, and are non-toxic.
Using preventative products such as deterring shampoos and conditioners are also recommended. What's nice about organic products is they do not smell like the harsh chemical shampoos that have been used in the past to get rid of lice. They smell and feel natural and your children won't know the difference between regular shampoo and organic lice killing shampoo.
Other Organic Lice Treatment Tips
Remember that if your child does get head lice it's not the end of the world! Most organic lice treatment systems have a complete line of products ranging from preventative tonic, to targeted treatment to kill the live lice, and household products. Using a fabric spray on pillows, furniture and clothes that might be shared between siblings will help to deter the spread of lice. Children have a habit of sharing everything from lunch, to toys, to hair clips. Be prepared and conscious of your children's play habits and be sure to use the household products when necessary.
If your child does have head lice, don't outweigh the importance of having a good professional lice comb. Choose one with fine teeth that allow you to separate your child's hair into small sections so you will be able to grab the lice and nits with the comb as it goes through your child's hair.
By adding these products to your school shopping list ahead of time, you won't panic when that letter comes from your child's school this fall. Remember... you are ahead of the game!
