Automation entails a lot of advantages when it has been implemented in the way we live our daily lives. But there are also some of the disadvantages that come with it. For us to have better understanding about the pros and cons of implementing automated systems in our daily lives here are some of the things that you have to consider.
Automation basically means providing an automated solution for repetitive tasks which often need precision and accuracy and one of which is in the manufacturing industry. When it comes to the manufacturing industry, automation is implemented on machineries which are used to make stuff such as car doors and home appliances. The advantage of using automated system in this particular field is that it minimizes the error caused by humans by replacing human workforce with robots.
One of the major disadvantages of implementing automation is the unemployment of those people who have been replaced by robots in their jobs. Since automation reduces the need for human intervention when it comes to manufacturing things, this results to employees being laid-off from their jobs. But it does not automatically mean that there is no need for human intervention at all. Machines are just machines and they still need human beings so that they may be able to perform their tasks well. If it is not for those people who ensure that these machineries are doing what they were created to do, then they would not function well or would not function at all.
Automation brings comfort and convenience on the way we live our lives today, but we still have to remember that automation has its limits and automation itself should not be used for other purposes because you might regret the consequences in the future.
