When you get in the business of owning your own business there are several different things to you have to think about

With advertising there are several different options and it can sometimes seem a little difficult to decide where to spend your advertising dollars. You might be thinking that you don't have any advertising dollars or a budget to advertise your business. The first thing you will want to do is set up budget in your business for advertising. That is the first thing to recognize and do. Once you recognize that you need to spend money on advertising now you can start looking at your different options.

There is the option of going with a commercial company to help you with your advertising. You could decide to go with a coupon in a local coupon pack. That can get out to thousands of people pretty quickly. The challenge with that is that it could blend in with all of the other coupons that are in the booklet or mailer. If people don't know you or your company they might choose to not hold onto the coupon.

Some will choose to take advertising into their own hands and go door to door handing out flyers. That can be very time consuming and I know that for myself I usually throw out the advertisements that are hung on my door.


Another type of advertisement is taking care of your current customers and giving them a magnetic business card to keep on hand so that they can call you when they need service or a product again. The other thing that happens with that type of advertising is that past customers have your information right at their fingertips and can refer other people to you. Then you give them a magnetic business card and the business continues to grow. This can be a very inexpensive way to get advertising out there for your business.
