Online Affiliate Marketing works. It is that simple. You can earn a lot of money online as an affiliate! Yes you can. Then why do almost 97% of people who try affiliate marketing give up so quickly. Because the don't appreciate the fact that Online Affiliate Marketing is a Business, and to be successful and make money you need to run your sites as a business. That being said that really isn't that hard. No you don't need experience as a business manager, no you don't need a lot of money to start your business working for you. What you do need is motivation, dedication, belief in your own ability and the willingness to learn how your business must work to be successful.

Ok that's the scary bit out of the way. So where do we start.

1.Learn all there is to know about affiliate marketing. To be reading this article you are already doing research. I highly recommend you continue reading and reading, many articles, product reviews blogs, anything that you can find online that can help you learn.

2. Consider buying a course or program on developing an online business. Most usually recommend starting with affiliate marketing because your not actually buying any products and you don't deal with any after sales services, you literally are the online salesman. The prices of these programs whether they be called coaching or other can vary in price dramatically. Again research and decide what your needs are. I originally started with a program that was $60.00 a month for 13 months and found after just 3 it wasn't for me. I started researching again and found one for about $97.00 which ended up working and I am happy with it. Do your research! Don't just pick the most expensive because you pay for quality. Its not as simple as that especially in this competitive environment.

3. Decide on a product you want to market. I believe when you are starting out to look at a product you know a lot about. If your a golfer, maybe a book that has served you well is a good place to start. If you love fishing there is a huge market out there. Remember to look at a niche within that market. Why is this important well consider this. You go to a hardware store and go to a salesperson there and ask for advice on a item you want to buy. They look at with fear in their eyes because they don't have a clue about what you're talking about. Are you going to take any advice they give you seriously no. This is exactly the same. Know your product backwards. If possible buy the item you intend selling. It will pay huge dividends in the long run.
