Air Conditioning Options That Make Sense
Unlike previous years when your choices were very limited
, today your air conditioning options are so many that you might even be surprised! You can use central air conditioning, window AC units, wall AC units, and even ductless mini split air cooling options. What type of cooling device or system will work best for you totally depends upon your temperature controlling needs, current set up, and budget. When selecting your new system, consider how widespread your needs are, who will be using it, how often, and what types of items are stored in the area.
If your air conditioning needs are in a location where ductwork is already installed, then you might want to install central A/C. Central air is very popular for good reason. If the ductwork is there, it's easy to distribute the air if the entire affected building is to be cooled. If you need air conditioning in a location where there is no ductwork, but it would not be too much expense or impracticality to do so, consider having it installed. This is not always practical or budget-friendly, however, so consider all of your options first.
Among your other options for ductless air conditioning systems are AC window units, Wall AC units, or a mini split unit. Now these are not going to cool an entire building independently, but can be turned on and off to meet your needs as people come and go, making these option good also if you have seasonal needs or ever-changing room-cooling needs. For example, if you use an area of your office building only on Thursdays, then you don't have to pay to cool this area the other six days of the week. These air conditioning options vary in installation and design, but all provide the same type of service. A unit is in the room it will cool, and you can adjust its settings accordingly.
The window air conditioning units do take up window space when installed, but come out easily and can be transferred. Wall AC units are installed into the wall and therefore are not easily transferable. Ductless mini split unit air conditioners are great because they operate similarly to a central air unit. Partially inside and partially outside, connected with a small hose only, the ductless mini split air conditioner is ideal for those who want minimal unit obstruction with the conveniences of central air.
