The 2011 edition of Scion tC has been launched by Toyota Motor Corporation
. Toyota has tinkered with it a little bit.
The all new tC has a new 2.5 liter engine which provides 180 horsepower at 6000 revolutions per minute. It has four cylinders and sixteen valves along with a Dual VVT-i. The torque provided by this engine is 173 pound foot at 4100 revolutions per minute. Bore and stroke dimensions of this engine are 90.0 and 98.0 mm respectively. It has the Toyota direct ignition system and a compression ratio of 10.4:1.
The all new tC comes with either a six gear automatic transmission or a six gear manual transmission.
Tires used by this car are P225/45R18. The curb volume in pounds for manual transmission and automatic transmission is 3060 and 3102 respectively. The fuel tank of this car can hold up to 14.5 gallons.
The car provides 23 miles per gallon in EPA city irrespective of whether it has manual or automatic transmission. On EPA highway and combined it provides 31 miles per gallon and 26 miles per gallon respectively.
The all new tC has an electric power steering. For the front suspension you have MacPherson struts and for the rear it has double wishbone. In the braking system it has ABS which comes with both brake assist and EBD. The cars turning circle in feet is 37.4.
The car can carry five people at a time. The ground clearance of this car is 6.3. It provides leg room of 41.8 inches in front and 34.6 inches in the back. The MFR for cargo volume and passenger volume are 14.7 and 88.4 cubic feet respectively. The shoulder room provided by the car in the front and rear is 55.4 inches and 52.1 inches respectively, while the head room provided is 37.7 inches in the front and 36.4 inches in the rear. The length of the car is 174 inches while its height and width is 55.7 inches and 7.07 inches.
