In current economic windfalls the need to reduce utility bills has become a common thing

The device will be highly desirable as it uses a graphical interface which is easy to comprehend. Usage can be tracked easily and methods used accordingly to reduce energy and gas cost.
The meter will remove the need to send to send statistics to directly to energy providers through meter readings.
The daily consumption rate will be known at an actual value. There will be no need for estimates. Information regarding expenses or cost in day can be sent through wireless technology on a day to day basis to energy providers.
With smart meters swapping providers is easy. If because of cheaper services or quality services you want to switch accounts from one-energy provider to the other you can do so without needing to buy or install new boards.
Keeping track of energy usage will greatly help us to reduce and manage our energy bills. However the cost of installing and using smart meters is not known. How much they will cost energy companies is also been investigated.
Should this proposal become fruitful it will help better tracking of energy usage and how much to spend on it. We can then better stay within budget and even reduce our bills.
