The need has grown so has the amount of companies. Your basic supply and demand in effect. Although in my opinion these companies should be last on your list when it comes to choosing a loan.

If you need to borrow try your family and friends. If this is not possible turn to your employer for help. If this is also a no go. Your bank could be an option. A personal line of credit or a small loan might fit your needs. If this isn't a viable option than one can turn to payday loan companies.
While the requirements are easy to qualify you basically need a steady income and a bank account the interest rates can be very high. The convenience is also attractive. They usually don't do credit checks you fill out a simple form online and you are usually contacted quickly. Most people who are accepted can get the money within a day. The trouble comes when people do not pay back the loan by the due date. This form of credit is meant as a short term advance. The fees aren't so bad in the short term. If you don't pay the loan back by the due date the fees and interest can be extreme.
That's why I would only recommend a payday loan as a last option. There are some companies on the net that will offer a free loan for first time customers. So that being said, If I were to take a payday loan this would be the first type of lender I would consider. A free loan is much better for the borrower. Beware though if this isn't paid back on time then there will be fees added on to your amount owed and then the loan isn't free anymore.
