The common belief among scientists is that Natural gas was formed from the dead remains

of tiny sea animals and plants over two hundred to four hundred millions of years ago. These dead remains got settled at the bottom of the seabed and rock silt and mud sediments covered them. The rock sediments later on became thick forming layers. Due to the pressure and heat of the earth the organic matter got converted into Natural gas which is trapped in the pores of the rocks. Drilling machines are used to extract this most valuable form of energy. Thus due to this we are able to enjoy the many uses of Natural gas.

Natural gas helps our lives to run in a smooth way. It is one of the cheapest forms of energy and it is a real boon to the residential consumers. This energy resource simplifies our living by being a part of our shelter, cooking, transportation and much more. The United States of America uses about 21.6 percent of Natural gas. The uses of Natural gas are of highly appreciated by the manufacturing industries as they are major Natural gas consumers. Consumers use this fossil fuel as a heat source to manufacture the end products for usage. Natural gas is an essential feedstock for the numerous products that are used in our day-to-day activities.

Residential uses of Natural gas include cooking, heating, air conditioning, washing and drying and most importantly cooking. Natural gas has a major portion in all the modern electrical appliances that are used at homes. These electrical gadgets simplify our way of living and save us lot of time in today's fast track world. The operating cost that is involved in using these Natural gas equipments is generally lower when compared to the other forms of energy. Thus Natural gas offers us lot of benefits at an economic rate. Women would be delighted to know that the cosmetics that they use are linked with Natural gas and it has contributed in a large way in adding more beauty and life to all the women throughout the world.

The uses of Natural gas are increasing in generating electricity. The power plants that are fuelled by gas are easy to be built and the capital involved in bringing up these power plants is also quite low in comparison to other energy resources. Natural gas drives the power plants to work efficiently leading to faster output and these plants do not prove much hazardous to the environment, as the emission is minimal. Natural gas is of utmost importance to the transportation industry. Usually two forms of Natural gas are used in the vehicles that are driven by this form of energy. Compressed Natural gas is the most commonly used form and overcomes the limitations of diesel and gasoline driven vehicles.
