. The company offers a variety of outdoor products, and was founded by ex-army officer, Joseph Quinn.

Walkabout Wicklow Limited is a new outdoor and day tour company that specialise in hill walking and hiking. They offer a variety of products within the Irish tourism and domestic market, including the following: Hill Walking/ Hiking Day tours and Day Trips from Dublin City into County Wicklow; Longer duration hill walks on request; Hill Walking and hiking courses covering map reading, walking safety and all other elements of hill walking; Hill Walks for Singles; Corporate Team Building and Large Group Tours.

The company was founded by Joseph Quinn, an ex-army officer with many years of experience in the great Outdoors. After seeing the large number of people experiencing difficulties in the Mountains on a regular basis, and needing assistance from Mountain Rescue, he decided to form his own company. He enjoys introducing people to the growing sport/ hobby of hill walking, and is passionate about teaching people the right skills so that they can do so in a safe and enjoyable manner.

His products are unique, offering a combination of outdoor knowledge, with information on local history and flora and fauna. His walks usually vary from beginner to intermediate level, and are accessible to most people. Joseph hopes to build his business across the whole of Ireland, and to incorporate new products in 2011, such as bush craft and survival hikes.
