There are tree main attributes that make us the image of God: Will-Which is the ability

He gave to us to choose, man has the permission to choose anything he dims fit but God will not forget to remind him of the consequence to every choice he makes. Secondly, intelligence-By this man can reason and judge between good and evil. This also is a key instrument by which we can relate to our God and the World around us. Thirdly, emotion-By which man expresses his feelings at any point in time.

Emotions are so important, I doubt it if we can be able to understand ourselves better. In marital relationship for example, couples put checks and balances to issues at home by adopting emotion. When God made us with emotions, He did not have the mind to allow our emotion control us, then Man depended on God and everything was available, But when man fell, fear crept in, man began to have problem with himself, his wife and the world around him. God removed spiritual relationship which is the bedrock of other relationships and our emotions was affected.

In this World of chaos and confusion when we encounter several problems in homes, churches ,Businesses etc an uncontrolled emotional feelings will blinding us to see the provision that God has made for us. In the next paragraph, let us consider few factors that can help us handle our feelings. It is a general principle that can be adopted to any facet of life.

BEGINNINGS ARE IMPORTANT

A distraught father brought his son to Jesus for healing. The boy was being tormented by a demonic spirit, which was causing him to have violent seizures. The first question Jesus asked was "How long has this been happening to him?" The father said "from childhood" (Mark 9:21). To get to the root of a problem you may need to ask "when did it happen?" Even with a problem that is clearly demonic, it is helpful to know if possible how and when the evil spirit got control.

Satan is sometimes called the "enemy of soul" and that is a good one because the soul is his favorite point of attack. He builds hurtful patterns of behavior as early in our lives as he can. Then he can simply manipulate these pattern when he wants to into trouble. Beginnings are very important. It is like loading a ship. Everything is loaded on before it leaves the dock and that cargo stays with the ship wherever it goes on the voyage. So, the first step in dealing with emotional problem is to search from the beginning .What is exactly the cause of this problem? By the time you explore the cause, you are on your way to seeking your happiness.

THE LORD'S SUPPER

Do not overlook the power of Holy communion ( Lord's Supper, Eucharist, Mass, Divine Liturgy, whatever your church calls it). The Lord made Himself known to the disciples at Emmaus in the breaking of bread. He can do the same to you. Holy Communion is healing for body and soul. As you receive the ordinance of the Lord's Supper, you can bring your marital problems, unmet expectations and hurts to Jesus and receive His touch. It was Father Ted Dobson, a Roman Catholic priest that taught about the Lord's Supper. He said, in effect, bread and wine are universal elements. Bread is a symbol of words and deeds (yours and others) and wine is a symbol of feeling and emotions. As the bread and wine are offered, he suggest you offer words and deeds that have hurt you with the bread and damaged emotions and feelings with the wine. As the bread and wine are consecrated to God, the miracle happens and when you partake of communion you receive theses things back, transformed by God's grace. You receive the grace of Jesus to live in victory
