Answers to Interview Questions you would never have imagined

Now it is possible to prepare and in fact you can never prepare too much for you interview. Us you have to remember it's not the person who gets the most answers correct that gets the job offer. it's the person the interviewers like most on the day.

Even if you had all of the answers to interview questions, it doesn't guarantee you a job offer.

You see while you are focusing on the answers, you are forgetting about your personality and interviews are all about personality. That's the most valuable component of the interview.

Another approach is to prepare some good interview questions of your own. If you are asking the questions then you must know the answers. When you are asking questions you are in control of the interview, which means your nerves will calm down and the interviewer may actually start to enjoy the experience.

Top Tip : Never go into an interview without a list of good interview questions.

At some point in an interview you are usually asked "do you have any questions?" Most people never do and it really goes against them. As an interviewer I am more impressed by candidates who ask good interview questions, than by the ones with smart answers.

Of course the toughest thing you will face will be behavioural interview questions. They are used to help the interviewer understand who you are, what kind of personality type you are. They want to predict your behaviour and they want to know how you may fit in with the company or the team.

Behavioural interview questions come in a variety of forms and you may even have been asked to complete a personality test. It's not essential and you could still be asked generic behavioural interview questions such as, "What would you do if a customer started shouting and swearing at you?"

It is always best to try and answer honestly. Sincerity comes across and smart lies can usually be spotted. You want to give them a good indication of your personality, so be as open as you can. try not to look like you are hiding something.

Most candidates leave their personality at the door and try not to make mistakes. This is an empty experience for the interviewer and it unlikely to result in many job offers.

It is better that you leave them with a taste of your personality, so that they know who you are. Be friendly and open. Relax and enjoy the experience as much as you can. Don't worry about getting all the answers right.

Remember they are not asking you questions to see if you know the answers, they are asking you questions to get to know you - the real you - your personality.

So don't leave your personality at the door. Take it into the interview with you. Make their day. Sure answer their questions as best you can but remember why they are asking you all these questions. It's their means to an end, not the end in itself.
