If the student is defined to receive a loan or any other aid, such as work-study, it is already up to him to decide whether to get this help or not. In other words, he is entitled to decline these kinds of aid. One more important feature of this type of aid is that Federal Pell Grants are awarded to the students who are mastering first bachelor's degree. Graduate students are not entitled to receive this kind of financial aid. There are no definite educational requirements, such as grade point average needed.
