When starting a new career search it is important to know what you like about your current job and what you want from a new career. Once you have an idea of what type of career you would like to work in, you then need to check into what type of qualifications that career requires. If you will need to acquire any additional education a great idea would be to take it slow and only take one or two courses at first, this way you won't be wasting time or money if you change your mind about your new career. You should also be assessing any current skills you possess at this time that would be beneficial and useful to your new career path.

After you have gained all of the knowledge and education needed to start your new career, its then time to start the actual job search. You will need to update your resume, perfect those cover letters, and brush off that interview attire. A great way to start your search would be to use online resources or utilize any networking contacts you may have made through your old career.
