A very smart man once said when it comes to article marketing

, you give to the reader in the article body and take from the reader in the resource box.

When it comes to article marketing, it is important to provide excellent content in the body of the article. You need to give something to the reader of value. You always want to make sure your reader learns something in the article body.

If you write a garbage of an article, the reader learns nothing of value, why would he click through to hear more of what you have to say at your website? It only makes sense to make your reader feel that you're an expert on the subject, and therefore, it would be a great idea for him to click through on your links in the resource box to learn more.

Most times, the article body is the easiest part to write. The resource box gives most new marketers trouble because they don't know how to lead the reader from the article to their website.

I would recommend that you read articles that are already published, and see how the author lead you into the article body, gave you valuable content, left you wanting more, and provided a link to further information in the resource box.

The more articles you read, the better you will become at constructing your own article bodies that not only provide great content and answers questions the reader may have, but will also leave the reader wanting more information.

The resource box will then tell the reader what more they can learn and where they can find this information. Remember, always use two links to your web site in the resource box. One link will be a physical address, the other link will be in the form of anchor text.

Never try to sell or be self serving in the article body. The intent of the article body is to provide very valuable, worthwhile content. The resource box is the area in which you can sell to the reader and make some one click through to your web site for more information.

It is a good idea to take a look at the most published articles on any particular article directory because they usually have valuable content that other website owners would like to publish on their websites. See if these authors have provided too much information, which would result in someone not needing to click through to hear.

Become someone who evaluates articles. From ones that give away too much information or ones that do contain any worthwhile information at all. Also, always try and see what information the author could have left out as an enticement for clicking through to your web site. Remember, you want to provide incredible content with a lot of value in the article body but you don't want to give away everything!

Construct your resource box as a portal to more information the reader cannot do without. You should be trying to construct your articles so at least one out of four people reading it will click thru to your website.

You will do this by providing valuable content and a promise to give the reader even more when they visit your site.
