Article Marketing Tricks #3: Automatic Special Reports
Here's the third secret in our series of techniques for making article marketing pay off: Generate Automatic Special Reports.
I'm going to explain exactly how you can easily create a special report that can be used as a bonus, a lead generator, or even a product you can sell.
Just so we're on the same page, I think of a special report as something that's longer than an article, but shorter than an ebook. Usually reports are about 7-15 pages, or about what a single chapter would be in a book.
A special report typically covers just one topic, but goes in depth much more than you can do with a single article. But here's the cool part about this whole thing...
...if you are writing simple little articles about a specific topic, at some point you're going to have 7 to 10 of those babies sitting around. And all you have to do is combine those articles together and you have a completely new product -- a special report.
Do NOT make the mistake of thinking this technique is somehow cheating or dishonest because you're reusing content. That's one of the biggest secrets among the major internet marketers -- reusing content you write once as many other times as you are able is incredibly powerful.
In fact, I'd go so far as to say that if you're NOT reusing content you're not serious about your business. Leveraging your time is one of the biggest factors of success.
Let me give you a tip about special reports that will make your day...
At some point you're going to need a special report for a bonus, to entice someone to subscribe to your list, and so on. Instead of sitting down and writing a report, write 10 simple little articles, instead.
Then combine those together into the report.
Why go through that seemingly useless step? Because now you have 10 separate articles you can use in other areas for other purposes, like submitting to article directories to get more traffic, using as blog posts, etc. Any time you need to write something that's longer than a typical article, writing multiple articles and then putting them together is almost always going to be a time-saver.
I know this secret is about Automatic Special Reports, but let's take that technique on a little farther. After you've created a special report, write some more simple little articles and make a second special report. It can also be used for a bonus, etc.
You can probably see where I'm going with this -- an ebook is usually made of of 8 to 10 chapters, which are about the size of a typical special report, which are themselves usually about the size of 8-10 articles.
Most folks get intimidated by the idea of sitting down and writing an ebook. But writing a simple little article? They can do that. And by doing that over and over again you're going to end up with dozens of articles, 8-10 special reports, and an entire ebook -- all of which can be used in many different ways in your online marketing business.
