Article Marketing: Why You Must Write And Submit Articles

Article marketing is one of the most important methods you must use to promote your website

. I deliberately state 'why you must write and submit articles' because you must do it if you want to be successful and secure high rankings for your web pages.

You will likely react to the term 'must' - "I mustn't do anything!" or "I know it all - must is not in my vocabulary!"

Yes, and I believe that too! If you know it all why are you still reading this - in fact why did you even start reading it? It's obvious - you don't know it all, and need some help to drive traffic to your website! The first thing you must learn is that Google lists web pages - not websites. So you must drive traffic to your individual pages - not just your home page, and Google is watching you to make sure you do that properly.

Google keeps surprising us, and if their Panda algorithm update was not enough, now they have a Penguin! Panda was to stop us linking from link farms (which is fair enough), and Penguin is to stop use using the 'same old' for our landing pages and anchor text (which is also fair enough!) That's it in a nutshell, although paid links and irrelevant links also figure in there - you know what they are; no need for me to tell you.

So! What does it all mean to you? First it means that your articles must be well written - I forgot that bit. Between them, the Panda and the Penguin have got together to make sure that poor grammar is now punished - a good thing for me because I can write!

Second it means that if you do write well, and understand how to make the best use of your articles, you will benefit because lots of pages are being dropped from Google's rankings as I write! Maybe 10, maybe a billion - only Google knows! The point is, if Google believes that your web page is giving Google's customers good, original information, then Google will reward you with a high listing position.

If Google thinks you are copying existing content, trying to change it using 'synonym spinners' or trying to cut corners in any way that affects the people using the search engine, you are in deep trouble. The Penguin will get you - he gave Batman a heap load of trouble, so you won't be a problem!

Article marketing can get you a good ranking for each of your main keywords, and a good ranking on Google is 'Gold' - people pay a fortune for a Page #1 listing for their adverts using Adwords, and you can get it free - both with having your web page listed because of the backlinks, and your articles can also be listed on Google - it is just another web page after all!

If you write and submit articles to article directories, you will benefit in many ways - too many to enumerate them all here so I won't list any. Just take it from me - If you want to make it online, you need to get involved in article marketing and understand the Google algorithms.

That's all folks - I don't care. I submit my articles to the directories and do very well from it. If you ignore me and fail, then that's your failing - not mine. But try not to fail, and try to write and submit articles, because article marketing is a great way to get free advertising! Well, free other than the time you take and what you pay for the submissions, and . . . well, you know!
